A specifically designed photographic itinerary has resulted in amazing opportunities to engage with and photograph the people and culture of this area. This has been achieved by incorporating a mixture of indigenous tourism initiatives and organic interactions that have been established by the photographers exclusively for this tour.

Tour highlights & photographic opportunies include:
Augrabies National Park and waterfall The “Place of Great Noise” where the mighty Orange River plunges 56 metres down rocky gorges and the landscape resembles the moon, rather than the banks of the longest river in South Africa.
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park This is largest game park in South Africa. Enjoy morning walks and night game drives while trying to spot lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, meerkat, gazelle & so much more.
Kalahari Trails Take an early morning walk with Professor Anne Rasa, as she reads footprints left in the sand dunes the night before. Suddenly the world of the smaller wildlife will open up before you as you stumble across newly made frog homes and trails of epic scorpion battles.

Riemvasmaak “A wilderness born from violent volcanic activity millions of years ago”. Here you have a chance to bathe in natural hot water springs that lie in the dry bed of the Molopo river, watch the black eagle’s soaring over the cliffs.
Kalahari Bushmen Meet & photograph the San Bushmen of the Kalahari. Photograph traditional cooking & share in a delicious meal with the sounds of the Green Kalahari around you.
Township football/soccer teams Visit a soccer training session or game, this is a great way to mingle with and photograph locals, whilst making the most of the beautiful afternoon Kalahari light.
